Duncan Cochrane-Dyet FCA
![]() |
Duncan came to DSH in 2009 and brought with him a unique set of skills and experience drawn both from working in London for two of the top four international accountancy firms, and from his previous service as a Captain in the British Army. Before joining DSH, Duncan was with Ernst & Young in London, where he was a Director in the audit and assurance division of the Entrepreneurial Wealth Services group, helping both privately and publically owned high-potential companies achieve their aims. However, he began his accountancy career with Coopers and Lybrand in Maidstone, and when they merged with Price Waterhouse to form PwC in 1998, Duncan moved to the new firm’s London offices. The subsequent years included a secondment to PwC’s business turnaround group which specialised in giving financial, operational and strategic advice to distressed companies. His experience and skills, coupled with the insights gained whilst advising companies and shareholders in London, has proved of enormous value in developing his work assisting Kent and other regional based middle market businesses, their owners and their staff. Out of the office he occasionally turns out for Maidstone RFC, but is now more usually involved in his three childrens’ sports on the proviso he does nothing embarrassing.
