John Moore FCA

John Moore John is a partner in the Audit & Business Services team and an experienced accountant working principally with large and medium-sized businesses in both the corporate and non-corporate sectors. He came to DSH just over ten years ago after a number of years working for a large accountancy practice in Kent.

As well as employing his knowledge of audit, accounting and tax to help clients, a lengthy period spent running his own successful pub and restaurant business has given him insight and understanding that has proved invaluable to clients and their businesses.

John works with business owners and their managers to help them develop their full potential by identifying and monitoring Key Performance Indicators and providing intensive improvement coaching. John frequently acts for many small and medium sized businesses as a “surrogate FD”, guiding their owners with acquisitions and disposals, and succession and exit planning strategies.

Outside work John is interested in fine wine, football (a long term “Gooner”), and jazz, blues and traditional folk music.
