Assurance

Closely allied to the firm’s audit and accounting services, is the provision of assurance services. The firm is frequently called upon by clients and others to provide more detailed or specific financial, or non-financial information on a business or other organisation to help reduce the risk of any financial or other investment and increase confidence. Often it can be where there is no experience or expertise available within the client organisation or where an independent view is sought.

Such services are developed and customised to the specific needs of the client, most commonly in response to a request from the business owner or senior management team. Alternatively, the information may be required by financial and other regulators, the banks and other government bodies in the UK or overseas.

Specific services may include:

  • FSA and regulator reports Risk assessments
  • Reviews of information and management systems
  • Analysis of customer and supplier transactions
  • Grant applications and claims
  • Reviews of tender documents
